Lygaria

Matala
Matala is located at the exit of a small valley enclosed to the north by the hill Nisos and to the south by the hill Kastri, with a nice view of the islands Paximadia. In front of the bay there is a wonderful sandy beach 300m long, with fine gravel, and crystal clear deep waters. The seabed is flat in the center of the beach and the waves, when the west wind blows, are very large and impressive.

Agia Pelagia
The main beach of the settlement is a large and narrow organized beach with coarse sand and green waters. The waters are almost always calm and the bay forms a windless harbor. The beach offers many options for water sports, diving, umbrellas, sunbeds, food and accommodation. In recent years, thousands of people from Heraklion have fun every day in the beach bars of Agia Pelagia and choose it for their swimming.

Kalamaki
Kalamaki is a small seaside village located on the outskirts of Kamilari village, 65 km southwest of Heraklion. The beach has coarse sand and the seabed is generally rocky, except in some places it has become rocky and the seabed is sandy, while the sea has frequent waves during summer meltemia. In front of the settlement the beach is very well organized, with umbrellas, taverns, lifeguard, playground, water sports and the place is suitable for quiet family vacations.
