Catacombs of Milos
Discovered in 1844 and considered the most important early Christian monument of worship and burial in all of Greece, the Catacombs of Milos is something you should see during your visit. These impressive catacombs are carved from volcanic rock and are believed to have been built as early as the 1st century AD.
What makes these catacombs so fascinating is that they were not just used for burial. They were used by persecuted Christians under Roman rule as a secret place of worship. Although you may not have access to all the catacombs today, what you can see is still impressive and worth your time.
